Re-imagining Graduate Studies through embracing the impact of research and knowledge at the Faculty of Graduate studies at York University
In a remote role at the Faculty of Graduate Studies, versatility is key in creating content aligned with York University’s branding. Working with the communications team, projects support FGS services and programs, inspiring current and future graduate students by promoting exploration and growth.
Below are different scopes of work that were produced during my experience at FGS that are branded and follow regulated accessible design.

These editorial pieces highlight the requirements, values, and offerings of two graduate programs. The MSW project had a tight deadline of under three weeks, requiring multiple revisions while ensuring a polished final product.
Similarly, the PhD look-book followed a comparable timeline of less than a month. The client requested a cohesive visual theme aligning with the MSW piece. Content was provided in a document, with an additional reference to a York print booklet to guide concept development and meet expectations.



The Faculty of Graduate Studies oversees nearly 100 programs, certificates, awards, and services, ensuring clear communication and updated information for students and faculty. While larger programs have dedicated design teams, FGS manages in-house communications and fulfills design requests for smaller programs and services.


Promotional materials were typically designed in multiple resolutions for social media and web banners unless specified otherwise. In some cases, two versions of the same campaign or social content were created to maximize reach for upcoming events or seminars. An example of the final output:
